Finally, a new high-tech blade especially designed for the demands of the modern defensive game. The Innershield is our first defensive blade to make use of Butterfly’s very popular ZL Fiber. The use of ZL Fiber allows the production of a light weight oversized blade that has both great “dwell time” for chopping and plenty of power for explosive counter-loops. Unlike most defensive blades that either chop well but don’t have enough power or attack well and are hard to control when chopping, the Innershield Blade can do it all! The Innershield is uncompromising in both quality and performance for the modern chop and loop game.

BLADE SEALING SERVICE:We can seal your blade to make it easier to remove your rubber sheets and prevent the wood from splintering when changing rubbers. This allows the rubber to keep an even bounce across the entire playing surface. Old glue cleans off fast and easy. Rubbers are easier to remove therefore they keep their shape longer and length the life of your blade. ($2.50)


ZL Fiber consists of Zylon, a specially tempered, very lightweight plastic material. ZL fiber is harder, more flexible, and lighter in weight than carbon fiber. This results in a light weight blade which can produce a maximum amount of topspin with maximum control.
